Walker changed his mind this morning. He thinks he's going to get a new baby brother now. If you know Walker, you know how big of a deal that is. One time we tried to tell him that God might want him to have a little brother and he said: "NO! SISTER! ISABEL! If it's a brother, I'm gonna do something really, really bad!"
And that gets me thinking about names again:
If this next kid is a girl, we're pretty much torn between 2 names so let's put it to a vote. If we decide that we like the name you pick better than the other one, we'll take your advice.
Claire Elaine
Isabel Katherine
We're not totally sure about "Elaine" yet and I have no idea how Carla is planning on spelling Katherine so these could be a little off. Also, if you want to recommend a middle name for Claire, feel free. Also, it's pretty much gonna be Claire because I think that's just the cutest little name ever.
For a boy, we're pretty much locked into Anderson Dale but you can vote between that and Bernardo Demarcus if you want.

Addie was going to be Elisabeth until my cousin had a girl and named her Alyssa and since we liked Elisa as a nickname... that took that out.
Then, we actually liked Anderson as well- kinda freaky in fact ;)
So... for the girl's...
I like them both but think Claire is adorable and less common. I have a cousin with a daughter named Isabelle already :) It is also kind of similar to Elizabeth... BUT... I do really like them both :)
I vote for Claire, too. I love that name. What about Claire Katherine? Never mind, I just tried to say "Claire Katherine Kandel" and realized it's a terrible tongue-twister. I like Claire Elaine. Is Caroline off the table now?
I vote for Claire, but you already know that. Andy votes for Claire, too. So does Baby. So, three votes for Claire...but its going to be a boy anyway. But, if it's a girl and we have a girl, Claire and Cami have to be best friends... Anderson and Jack can be, too, but their names don't sound as cute together. But, they're boys so their names should evoke fear and spit and sweat and stuff (grrrrr).
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to vote but I like Claire and Elaine is MY middle name. Besides Claire fits a c-mas stocking nicely. Not sure about Anderson...may have to put it on sideways or down around the toe...Love your blog g-gma W
Grandma, give me a break, of course you're allowed to vote! (Well, this isn't my blog and I don't make the rules, but you SHOULD be allowed to vote!) That's hilarious that you're thinking about stockings already. You could just shorten Anderson to Andy. Oh, wait, we already have one of those ... K&C, it's settled, you have to have a girl so Grandma doesn't have to put glitter on the stocking toe. ;-)
I like Claire. I also think that is a cute name and so is Anderson. I like them both...Thanks for letting us vote on the names. I hope Walker make up his mind (well, never mind he Walker )
does it matter that Kay & Tim just had a baby girl named Claire? if that doesn't bother you, then go for it, I think it's a very cute name!! I like it better than Isabel, I think :) miss you guys much!!
btw- we were never "set" on Anderson or anything... it was just a name we liked b/c we both said we liked Andrew and then since we like different names...
It isn't a bad thing- it is cute and you can know that we liked your child's name :)
Re: B&R's comment...In a fmaily this size, if you start eliminating names of 2nd and 3rd cousins, we'll run out of names real soon. Besides Michael Kandel has a nephew Michael Kandel and I don't think that's ever been a problem.
I vote Claire and grandma votes count double! Seriously, I always love whatever you guys decide on-- you haven't messsed up yet!

Thanks for the votes. I didn't even know Kurt was doing this. But then again, I'm not sure that I ever know what Kurt is doing! In response to Grandma Walker' s comment . . . We know your middle name is Elaine! That's why we picked it! And for Steph, I like Claire Kathryn, too, but Kurt says "no way!" Oh, well.
Is it too late to vote? I need to check this more often! I give 1/2 a vote to Claire and 1/2 to Isabel cause i like them both. However, and I'm pouting, i kind of wanted to name my daughter Elaine.... Of course, got to get the man first but you asked for our opinions!
